Greetings,
My belated two cents:
As a question about the financial operations of a software company, it is quite interesting. I wouldn't, however, make my purchasing decisions based upon the answer (if you ever get one, which you didn't and probably won't).
Let's not forget that we are in a symbiotic relationship with SoftMaker. They need our money, and we need their software. Switching from paying full (reasonable) price, to buying their software at a deep discount might seem swell in the short term, but there is a fundamental problem with an unsustainable relationship: it's unsustainable. And I should know, I used to use WordStar!
For pity's sake, pay them whatever they need to stay in business (as I do); I just can't use MS Word!

Oh, my goodness. WordStar!
Greetings, fellow old-timer. My first piece of software when I bought my very first personal computer (after MS-DOS, of course) was WordStar. I hadn't thought about WordStar for a great many years ... until I saw your comment.
