File change position on desktop when saved

File change position on desktop when saved

Hello,

I have a problem and I would like to ask for help. Every time I modify a file and save it, it jumps to the first free space in the grid on my desktop. I have documents arranged in my own way on the desktop and it is slightly irritating. I also have the backup option turned off.

Has anyone found a solution for this?

Thank you for sharing your issue. However, please note that FreeOffice does not manage document display locations, as this is determined by the operating system.

Right click on a blank area of your desktop.

From the pop-up menu, click "Personalize"

Click "Themes" in the panel to the left

Scroll down until you see 'Desktop Icon Settings" -- click

Toward the bottom of the resulting pop-up, there's a check box labeled 'Allow theses to change desktop items" Be sure that check box is NOT checked.

Click OK.

Restart the computer and test.
