Can't keep sidebar closed!

Post by IslaWhite »

Using FreeOffice TextMaker 2024 (rev F1222.1129) 32bit.

Everytime I open it, the sidebar is displayed. I have been using this software for around 10 years. I only require very rare use and will never purchase any office app due to this. Since updating to this version, I can no longer hide the sidebar, I set the setting and it keeps resetting itself to on. Write permissions aren't a problem. The app is installed portably and it has simply been updated, as it always has done.

Any idea how to sort this please?

Thanks.

You are using FreeOffice totally free of charge. From time to time, we are running ads for our own products inside FreeOffice, and that's the time during which you can close the sidebar at any time, but the ad will reappear when you start the software again.

That's the price you are paying for using a complete Office suite for free - for 10 years, as you said yourself.

Outside promotion time, the closing of the sidebar is memorized between sessions.
