Visible spaces - UI "annoyance" on first usage
Visible spaces - UI "annoyance" on first usage
Installed TextMaker on the new tablet, and when typing text I noticed dots in place of spaces. I see, after some perusing the various settings of the application, that the option "Spaces" under "Show unprintable characters" in Settings was activated by default. Maybe it's just me, being used to TextMaker on Windows + other word processors, but it strikes me as odd to have this option on by default...
Re: Visible spaces - UI "annoyance" on first usage
I have SoftMaker Office on three Android tablets. I just checked all three of them and "Show unprintable characters" is not activated. I'm 99% certain that I didn't go into settings to deactivate it on all three devices. Are you certain that you didn't turn it on when changing some other settings?

Yeah, good question/info. I don't know if maybe the app stored some configuration on my account somewhere as I've used TextMaker before on other devices / mobile phones, but this is a completely new tablet, bought yesterday. Good to hear, thanks.

Strange.
You found where/how to turn it off. Please let us know if it doesn't stay turned off.
