I noticed that when I click on an email attachment (e.g. a Word doc or docx file) then Text/Plan maker starts, but it only shows the interface, not the content of the document.
So, I need to first download it and then open it, which is cumbersome.
Can't Text/Plan maker open attachments "on the fly"?

Please tell us, step-by-step, how to reproduce the issue and include some screenshots or a video illustrating the process.
Also your SoftMaker Office log file would be useful. To create it, click "Help (?) > About > Write System Information." The log file will be saved automatically in your ~/SoftMaker folder with the name "sminfo.txt."
I just performed a simple test:
1. Create a DOCX file on my PC and send it to myself through e-mail.
2. Open Gmail app on my phone (Google Pixel 8, running Android 16)
3. Click the file I just sent myself.
4. Choose to open the file with TextMaker.
5. Result: File opens without issues.
