Set Default not working

Post by RichardDcard »

I really like Planmaker for spreadsheets but would rather use Libreoffice Writer for text but once your software is installed it locks me out of the option to set other programs as default. So, what I'd like to know is- is there a way to ONLY install FreeOfice Planmaker and if not I'd really be interested in knowing why you would want to control my ability to set default programs as I wish. Terribly unethical isn't it?

Thanks for reaching out. To help us understand the issue better, could you describe what happens when you try to set a different program as the default instead of TextMaker?

For example:
  • Do you see any error messages? If yes, please share the exact wording.
  • Does TextMaker pop up or try to take over the file association?
  • Are you able to complete the process, or does it fail at a specific step?
  • Any screenshots or additional context would also be very helpful.
