No macros solution

Post by JohnWasilewski »

In a PlanMaker spreadsheet on my Mac, I'd like to automate a goal-seek action within a cell.

I understand that,
    SoftMaker Office doesn't support macros,
SoftMaker Office on the Mac excludes BasicMaker,
    PlanMaker won't run scripts.

So how can I do it please, anyone?

Since BasicMaker is not available for macOS, there is currently no automation option for Mac users. We still have the goal seek function, but you cannot script it.

Could SoftMaker not implement macros for us? They’re incuded in LibreOffice, and that’s free, but I’ve always been a SMO supporter and I’d prefer to stay with SMO.

I would also like to chime in and say that no automation options on Mac or Linux is frustrating. LibreOffice provides macros (scripts) across platforms. OnlyOffice also does this. I think that only offering macros/scripts on Windows is a major drawback to this otherwise excellent cross platform office suite.
