Multiple Spaces

I'm just getting into this software. One thing that I can't see how to do.
In word etc I can hold the space bar (equivalent touchscreen) down to insert multiple spaces and move text across. I need to do this a lot.
Does anyone know how to do this in TextMaker? Thanks.

If you're referring to a physical keyboard, the functionality you're asking about is also available in TextMaker.

However, if you’re referring to a virtual touch keyboard, its behavior depends on the specific keyboard app you're using. If it works in Word, it should work in TextMaker as well.

When I tested the virtual keyboard with Word, holding down the spacebar always triggered the “Change Keyboard” dialog.
