Can you copy formats and create grayed out text boxes?

Post by Enunrul48 »

Hi, I wanted to know if it is possible to copy  and paste formats in TextMaker, just like it is is possible to do in Word. I can't find a way to do this in either the Mac version or the ipad version.

Second question: is it possible to insert/add text the grayed out text boxes in TextMaker so I can create documents that others know where to write information?

Thanks for your help!

A quick and easy way to transfer a format is by using the Format painter on the Home ribbon (in iOS: Home ribbon > Edit > Format painter; in classic menu: Format > Transfer formatting).
If your document is more complex, you can manage character and paragraph styles via the right sidebar and select any of them with a double click.

For such a task you should use form fields: Objects > Form object > Text field on the Insert ribbon (in classic menu: Object > New form object > Text field).
If you select Form mode on the View ribbon (in classic menu: View > Form mode) and save the document this way, others can only write in the predefined text fields.
